I got into Brown University!

The moment when I clicked open the letter of admission was one of the most exciting moments of my life, and I think that moment wouldn’t have happened without Coach Alisa’s help.Although I wasn’t interviewed by Brown, talking with Coach Alisa gave me an idea of what the general atmosphere at Brown is like and inspired the two-minute introductory video about myself that I filmed. The mock interview with Coach Alisa also helped me in my alumni interviews with other colleges like Dartmouth College and Duke University. If it weren’t for her help, I would’ve been much less confident and calm during those interviews. The mock interview also enhanced my general public speaking skills, which helped me on several occasions including when I did a graduation speech as a student representative. Thank you so much!

Coach Alisa is a well-known public speaking and debating teacher among parents in my network. Micky, my son, was invited to join one of her courses which helped prepare him prior to an international debating competition.Within such a short period, Coach Alisa was able to cover all of the fundamentals and helped my son and his teammates get through the competition successfully. I believe it is not only because of her experiences as a professional debater but also because of her skills as a teacher. She created a curriculum that's suitable for each group and could tailor the lessons to fit the students' needs. Over the past few months, I have seen Micky developed his confidence in public speaking and debating gradually. I am very happy to see Micky enjoy his lessons with Coach Alisa.
